DevOps / Backend Engineer (Node.js / AWS)

Imagine, as well, taking full ownership over the whole infrastructure of the CI/CD pipeline, so it can scale as we grow, as Swipeguide's DevOps engineer. We will trust you fully with it, including with streaming our tests and deployment process in Jenkins, AWS and Docker. This way, the rest of the team can focus on delivering features, fixing bugs and maintaining the codebase - or you can contribute to that too.   • Scaling infrastructure to customers all over the world, including the US and Asia. We will need your support to maintain and optimise several server instances as we scale.
  • Automate: testing, measuring performance, handling issues
  • Owning the infrastructure and maintaining platform uptime and performance
  • Improving the performance of our data warehouse and pipelines
  • Optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Finding these flexible solutions while keeping in mind low infrastructure costs.
  • Ensuring security of our platform and sensitive customer data
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance
  • Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes


Are you a backend geek? We love for all backend-driven developer to contribute to both the application and the infrastructure. Our stack includes:

Requirements

Here's what we are looking for:

Are you, by any chance, a DevOps engineer who wishes to develop more into a backend or full-stack developer? Sweet, we can take you there! Or are you a backend developer that wants to grow into DevOps? You have the opportunity to learn here. Our stack includes: React, Node.js, GraphQL, Postgresql, Redshift, AWS, Docker, Jenkins, React Native. Here's what we are looking for:

    • Proficiency with JavaScript
    • Experience with maintaining cloud hosting and infrastructure in AWS
    • Experience with containerization (ideally in Docker - we are not quite Kubernates people yet!)
    • Experience designing and implementing data storage solutions (Redshift, RDS, PostgreSQL databases)
    • Experience with data migrations, transformation, and scripting
    • Experience with security, data protection, and access rights (e.g. authentication, SSO)
    • English fluency
